It envisions a new generation, as well as the expansion of the portfolio to include other sports cars and SUVs with the Camaro moniker.

General Motors is rumored to expand the Camaro brand into Chevrolet’s subbrand. The company followed the same route as Corvette, which became its brand with a broader portfolio. The report states that GM considered Suburban or Silverado, but none was suitable for the sub-brand. This analysis shows that a sub-brand should have at least three distinct models, which can be combined under one brand.
Camaro makes sense to the company as convertibles and coupes offer more choices than ladder-frame SUVs or pickup trucks. The portfolio of future models for the all-electric Camaro subbrand has also been designed. The offensive model will be a new generation of muscle cars, such as coupes or convertibles. The range will be expanded with sporty crossovers with two- or four-door bodywork. Dedicated sports cars are likely to complete the range in the middle-price bracket.
The next-generation Corvettes will be the basis for this sports car regarding technology, not appearance. This could be a problem for the Camaro subbrand as GM already has a highly successful sports car in its lineup: the Corvette. General Motors currently has its electric vehicle strategy. It is not clear if there are direct competitors to the Mustang Mach-E. GM will have a flexible EV platform by 2021 to support at least nine vehicles, including the Cadillac SUV.

The Blazer, now in its third generation, draws freely from a pony car with a bow tie. Sloping rooflines, such as those seen on the BMW X6 coupe, and narrower houses will be required. If the car wants to trade under Camaro, it will need some muscular hamstrings.
